I was musing with a client when we came up with an idea: what if there was a webpage that had all your character’s important information above the fold, but also included a gallery of important references, text information, color swatches, and everything you might need to commission an artist all in one place? What if it had short-codes that you could just type out from memory and send along to anyone whenever you wanted?
After a few initial brainstorming sessions I created some rough mockups of what the site might look like. You can compare it to how the site looks today.
After the site’s initial launch, I was also asked to design the logo. Below are some early iterations featuring pages, paint palettes, and other relevant imagery. Ultimately the client settled on the simple but effective paint palette with the ‘R’ cutout stemming from the thumbhole.
All of the “Akhet” pages are initial mockups, with the Arden page and last image being screenshots of the existing site for reference. We kept a lot of the same elements, including the diagonal crop on the header image, the color palette feature, the above-fold important information, and the general navigation.
