Rook (they/she/he) is a Minnesota born illustrator. After a brief jaunt in Wisconsin to earn their Game Design and Development (Art Concentration) Degree at The University of Wisconsin Stout, they are once again a proud MN resident where they live working on contracts for games, illustration projects for non-commercial clientele, and running their own business, Inkmaven Art.
While their art takes many forms as a 2D generalist, Rook is primarily an illustrator whose work is characterized by its vivid expression, careful attention to form, and narrative depth. They seek to one day be involved in large game or film projects full-time, especially board games. Rook’s work can be found in projects such as Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game, Everend, and all over Inkmaven Art’s goods.
In addition to art-making, Rook regularly runs booths and panels at conventions making them an eloquent public speaker and a communicative team member, and they are excited for what opportunities may arise in the near future.
