I was approached to do card back designs and other assets for The Lord of the Rings: Adventure Card Game, an interactive re-imagining of Fantasy Flight’s Lord of the Rings: The Card Game. There were 17 card backs in total, ranging in style from iconographic to illustrative. All used lore (important items, symbols, creatures, or locations) from the Lord of the Rings books to create familiar themes for both player and NPC cards.
